“All countries around the globe have some forbidden areas polluted with garbage. We should’ve known that there are still a lot of citizens who live among the garbage. Then, what should we do?”

ARTIST STATEMENT

I’m an 18-year-old Indonesian student majoring in fine arts at Jakarta Institute of Art (IKJ). At age 15, I found art as a medium where I could enjoy communicating my idea. I considered the result of my artwork as a topic about which I and the idea talked.

In my view, the idea of Messines and semi-abstract are to my liking since I believe every living and non-living thing has perfection and imperfection. Sometimes I crave to born an idea that is not my preference. Yet, I always willingly make them live in the media that they wanted.

Nowadays, learning and finding new experiences with art is my amusement. I nevertheless build my courage to create artwork by trying different media and techniques. I tried experimenting with acrylic, watercolor, pastel, ink, air-dry clay, et cetera.
