On The Wings Of Dreams

I am Khushbakht Islam. I am a contemporary artist based in Karachi, Pakistan. I completed my bachelor’s in Fine Arts, and majored in Painting, from the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi Campus in 2020. I am 26 years old. Scribbling is my most used art technique and so my preferred mediums are pens and inks for my painting. Apart from this, I also work with acrylics and oil paints and the scale varies for each work.

For three years, I have been painting murals and working as a freelance artist. Adept at working independently and collaboratively on projects. And I am committed to achieving aesthetically pleasing visuals. I have had a few national exhibitions since I graduated in all three major cities of Pakistan – Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad and had a chance to exhibit my work internationally at Doha Art Gallery in Qatar.

Prior to this, I have also organized a few art workshops with inmates in prison. I personally believe art helps a person shape their personality into a better being. I felt extremely satisfied to take art into the closed walls of the prison and see it breathe new life into it.
